As Banquet Manager, you will play a vital role in bringing special events to life! You’ll partner and coordinate with all necessary departments to ensure each banquet aligns with The Hotel Monroe’s initiatives and enhances guest experience. You will supervise banquet staff in the execution of set-up as well as oversee the service and break-down of functions in a safe, accident-free manner. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate with banquet staff all set-ups, changes and time schedules for functions.
- Train and supervise staff to maintain high standards in food service and hospitality.
- Work closely with the Banquet Chef and other departments to ensure all aspects of the Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) are updated, coordinated and executed seamlessly.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients as needed throughout the function.
- Be knowledgeable of the menu for each function and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation method for each item to be served.
- Maintain a well-stocked inventory of banquet supplies and manage orders as needed to meet event demands.
- Inspect banquet areas at end of function to ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are clean.
- Manage labor costs through monitoring systems while maintaining and adjusting personnel schedules for the banquet team.
- Set and uphold service standards for the banquet team, ensuring a high level of professionalism and consistency in all events.
- Serve in banquet position capacity as needed based on business volume and as needed during events.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
- Open to a flexible schedule of days and times varied based on need.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in staff training and management within a banquet or hospitality setting.
- Strong background in food service and kitchen management.
- Excellent supervisory and team management skills.
- Knowledge of catering and bar service, with fine dining experience preferred.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

We are seeking an incredibly organized, detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our sales team as an Administrative Assistant. This is a hands-on administrative support role for the sales team. You will work directly with the Director of Sales and serve to support all admin functions for the team so they can focus their efforts on selling. You’ll keep track of customer life cycles, sales staff schedules, and all things sales related.
You will also be the key point of contact with clients once contracts have been signed all the way through the handoff to banquet staff on the day of event. You’ll work with clients to help them get all the details right for their events, make sure their group blocks are up-to-date for hotel rooms, and coordinate with food & beverage, banquets, and relay important information to the sales team.
Qualifications and Skills
Refined verbal and written communication skills are a must, as well as computer proficiency. Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Previous hotel experience preferred, and Hilton experience a plus!

Early Morning Breakfast Cook
Typically starts at 5am, you will prepare high-quality breakfast dishes for our guests daily. Located in Downtown Monroe, The Hotel Monroe is a member of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, a collection of independent hotels with an authentic connection to their destinations. Situated along the river in a historic Opera house and Hardware store, The Hotel Monroe and its restaurants have been thoughtfully designed to provide an authentic experience of Monroe. The property will provide 68 luxurious guest rooms and suites, Heirloom Restaurant, The STAR Bar rooftop restaurant and banquet space to accommodate 250-500 people throughout the second and third floor meeting rooms and Opera Ballroom.
We are seeking enthusiastic, professional individuals to join our Front Desk team. Our Front Desk serves as our guests’ first and last impression, and we need talented people dedicated to providing quality and genuine service in a fast-paced environment. The Front Desk reserves guest rooms, answers phone calls, provides concierge services to our guests, and act as ambassadors of the hotel. They work closely with housekeeping and maintenance to provide excellent guest service. Individuals must be sales-minded as our Front Desk will need to listen closely to our guests to provide the best room and/or package options for their needs. Front Desk handles guest requests and serve as receptionist for management and all hotel guests. They serve as cashier taking payments for rooms and gift shop purchases. Front Desk must be able to handle guest complaints in stride while being able to think on their feet with resolving any issues. Must be knowledgeable with computers, able to use Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and must be able to learn our reservation system. Additionally, Night Auditors are the overnight shift responsible for closing out the day’s business and preparing the hotel for the coming day, including some accounts receivable and accounts payable duties.
